Motherboard PC6400 max using PC8000

HEy guys my current Bios only allows for PC6400 max. Can I still install PC8000 and set it for PC6400.

Reason great sale 1 gig PC8000 $39.

I hope my acer will have a Bios update to allow for PC8000 if not great ram for the price just add new motherboard.

Yes... You can use PC8000 memory on your computer. You don't have to downclock it manually, the bios will do it for you.
