Hi there guys!
Alright so got some bad news. Yesterday my PC wouldn't boot (no beeps from motherbaord or anything just stay before POST with power to I/O devices and fans spinning with green lights and solid red light on CPU) and I tried to clear the CMOS, boot with one RAM, reseat CPU etc etc. So after all this the PC booted (got an error about overclocking and pressing F1 to continue - even though I hadn't even overclocked CPU) and I got to the bios and then immediately after about 2-3 mins all I/O devices stopped working after about 5-6 mins suck as keyboard. So after a few more boots and freezing of I/O devices in BIOS i either got a solid red light on CPU_LED or with a flashing DRAM_LED as well.
So then after all this I disconnected my former working computer and the 2 ports on the motherboard were very firmly connected so I had to get my friend to help me with this but he could only take out the 12V ATX one (CPU power) and not the longer one which I believe powers motherboard and lights. However when I noticed that the cpu power cable from the psu looked damaged and so did the motherboard port...... I believe that me turning it on and off and trying to get into BIOS has made it worse
p.s. before we did this I tried booting with CPU but still got red light, I put my hand on CPU but you could only tell it was getting slightly warmer after about 1-2 minutes and it wasn't even hot.
So guys what do you think needs replacing the motherboard, CPU and/or PSU?
