So I've recently purchased an A58M-E33 Mobo along with a 4gb stick of ram and a cpu as a bundle from TigerDirect. Now I know how to assemble a computer, I can usually do my own wiring but no matter where I plug the Power SW cable I get no response when I connect power and press the power button. Now the Power Supply I'm using is an older one but It connects to the mobo perfectly.

Here is the Power Supply

Here is the Mobo

the case that I'm using obviously has power SW and Power LED cables along with your usual HD audio and USB cables, I know where the latter go but SW and LED don't seem to work anywere.

I've tried connecting the 24xPin and 4xPin connectors over and over, the power cable also works with my monitor so it's not that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Solution
draft make sure the mb sitting on top of the standoffs so it not shorting out. also if that unit is from a dell or other pre built pc check that it wired to atx spec. you can look at atx power supply wiki for the info.
Its not a good quality power supply.

Your mobo supports ram -
• 2 x DDR3 memory slots supporting up to 32GB
• Supports DDR3 1333/ 1600/ 1866/ 2133(OC) MHz
• Dual channel memory architecture
• Supports non-ECC, un-buffered memory
• Supports AMD Memory Profile (AMP)
• Supports Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)

Dual channel - So you need 2 sticks of ram - a kit.

Post your complete build in detail.

Is the PC completely built?

The case pwr and reset wires should be connected to where it says in your motherboard manual.

CPU: AMD A6 5400
RAM: x1 ADATA DDR3 1600 4gb ram
Motherboard: A58M-E33
Video card: Radeon 6570

My PC is completely built and I don't think the Power Supply is wired to ATX specs

This is the closest I could find to it and it doesn't match it. My power supply doesnt even have the option to switch voltage.

So is it safe to assume I just need a new power supply?
