Motherboard processor support

I got a pegatron ap480 s Motherboard from HCL built PC.
Default processor was AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ and when i want to change it to Phenom ii x4 955, the mobo is stating it as an unknown AMD processor (speed, core and other specs are showing properly in bios and also in properties).

I think its due to outdated BIOS. If so, Can anyone help me in finding the right BIOS update for my motherboard..??

AM2 motherboard lists nothing about supporting Phenom II processors.

The processor is working fine, as i said earlier, that's making me think that the bios update will let the motherboard recognize the cpu, but I am not sure and confused to let the cpu in or take it out.
