motherboard, RAM and cpu compatibility

Hey guys for Christmas I received the TUF z270 MARK1 ASUS motherboard and vengeance LPX 3200MHz RAM. Unfortunately these components don’t work with my current cpu (i5 4690) this means il have to get a new cpu, the motherboard is very specific about which processors it supports, if you could suggest one for me, I was looking a the i7 7700k but you should probably consider this first!
While I was online I came across the specs of some of the cpu’s That the mb supports like the i7 7700k for example which apparently won’t be able to support the speed of the RAM (3200mhz) because on the intel website it says something about and I quote

Memory Types DDR4-2133/2400,
DDR3L-1333/1600
@1.35V
I’m not completely sure what this means but what I see is that this cpu will slow my 3200mhz RAM down to 2133mhz which would mean I wasted my money on fast RAM, but i could be confused. So in conclusion could you suggest a cpu that works with my motherboard and doesn’t hold back my RAM

I have a 7700k with 3000mhz RAM, your CPU and Mobo will be fine running it at 3200. You will however have to turn XMP in the Bios to get teh full speed of your RAM

This is the approved memory list for that motherboard. Notice it has support listed for up to 3000Mhz.

It's not the processor that supports the memory so much as the motherboard you put it in. The memory speeds can also be improved by bios updates overtime, so even if it doesn't have support now, it Could in the future.
FWIW, you will not notice ANY difference in 3000 vs 3200 memory speeds. We are talking nano-seconds difference in performance.

With all that said, your board can support 6th and 7th gen intel Cpu's, of which the 7700K is the best available. The (7)770K declares the generation, so you can use (6)000 or (7)000 series intel chips, with the K meaning you can overclock them for a slight improvement if you provide a quality cooling system.
