Hello!

I have bought a 5700x3d.
It will be accompanied by a 1080ti + Thermalright Silver Arrow IB-E (or Phantom Spirit EVO if I can't find the adapters for the Arrow) + Antec High Current Pro 850w Plus Gold.

I need to buy a second-hand motherboard and RAM.

I have been reading reviews and for the motherboard I have these options. Approximate prices.

- ASUS ROG Strix gaming B550-F (100€-120€)
- MSI MAH Tomahawk B550 (130€)
- ASUS TUF gaming plus B550 (110€)
- GIGABYTE AORUS Elite B550 (80€-100€)

Regarding RAM, I've been reading that there are motherboards that can give problems if they are 3600Mhz and that 3200Mhz ones will work practically the same in a 5700x3d because of the cache.
My idea is to buy 2x16GB 3600Mhz CL16.

The options I've seen are:
- G.Skill Tridentz Neo 2x16 3600Mhz CL16 -19 - 19 - 39 (they're expensive...90€)
- G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x16 3600Mhz CL16 -19 - 19 - 39 (60€)
- From time to time some modules come out at prices of 50€ or similar although they don't look as nice.

Now my questions:
Of all the motherboards, which are the 2 that you would choose?
3600mhz or 3200mhz RAM?
Maximum price you would pay for 2x16Gb?

Thank you very much.

Hi!

I found a pack of Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570 + Crucial Ballistix 4x8GB 3600Mhz CL16 BL2K8G36C16U4B.
Motherboard 100€ + ram 50€.
It's the cheapest I could find.
Would they work well with the 5700x3d?

Or should I wait for Black Friday to see if there's something better?

Regards

Every time if I need something I shop 1 month before the so-called Black Friday
As far as I know, the diary you found doesn't work, the memories are good
If you're looking for something cheap, go for it

Hahaha good recommendation. I'm from Spain. The prices are second hand, so I don't know if they are adequate or if it's better to wait for a possible Black Friday offer (although everything is more expensive afterwards hahaha)

Yes, I read that, that it's better to get a good B550 like a tomahawk. Although that one would cost me at least 125€ second hand. A new one is around 150€.
According to what they say, the phases are not so important if you don't intend to do OC. But if you recommend it, I'll look for a B550.

Bought it right away. I won't think about it any longer. Thanks! xD

Now I only have the ram left...is the one I put in a good buy or is it better to get 2x16gb 3600mhz cl16?
I saw that they say that 4 is better than 2, but I don't know.

At the moment, ram is a bit expensive on Amazon. I think I can get better prices on 3600 cl16 on the second-hand market. I'll check :p. In the end, DDR4 is obsolete and if I save 30€ or more, all the better.

I'm just trying to find the Ripjaws for around €65. I hope I'm lucky.
Because even though they're cheap, if I add shipping costs, they're already quite "expensive".
Thanks!
