I am overwhelmed by the choices.
I have not built a new computer in 7 years, and that one was for my wife.
I plan on using a Ryzen 8600G CPU.
I won't be playing games, but I am interested in virtual machines.
Also, I want to be able to run Linux.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Quite an open ended question. Pretty much any B650 board that has the features you want. WiFi/LAN/USB ports/M.2 slots/Memory capacity and is the size you are interested in.

If you want to run a few VMs you might consider the 8700G and at least 2x16GB of memory (pretty much the logical minimum for DDR5 anyway)

Definetly don't buy less than 32Gb of RAM. And probably no more than 32 or 48Gb. Unless you will actually use it.

What is your budget, the country you are buying in, and your current PC specs, and the performance you expect from the new one?

I am in the US. I am somewhat flexible on my budget. Since I use the computer for the most part for Watching videos, scanning, printing, virtual box I don't want to buy more than I really need.
