Replaced my old motherboard for a new gigabyte 970 gaming sli after the old one started to fail. I have an amd fx 6300 (a socket the board supports) 4 4gb ddr3 ram at 1600mhz, an r9 270x gpu, and a 600w psu. Apparently I've missed something in the process of unplugging the old and reattaching to the new one. When I start the pc all the fans start to spin except the fanswer on the gpu start and stop. I have read other posts providing a checklist and I've followed them to no avail. There are no beeps or lights that I can see or here to show a specific problem. I have no idea what to do at this point and I need someone who can guide me on each step.

Fans on the graphics card are behaving erratically? Try reseating the card and its power connections. If your PSU is modular, make sure the connectors are tight in the PSU as well as the card.

@SR-71 Blackbird that is true, but I think this sounds more like a hardware issue...
