Motherboard replacment with the same model...do I still need to reformat?

I'm getting a replacment motherboard under warranty but it's the same model. Do I still need to reformat? Or can I just reattach my hard drive and call it a day? What went wrong didn't really affect anything per say (one of my 5 SATA ports weren't working) and my fan headers weren't working (so I had them plugged into my PSU instead, no big deal)

Theoretically I really didn't need to replace it as it worked fine I just figured every component should be in good working order and it gave me a reason to get a nice Corsair H80i cooler to throw in

Hi, no need to reformat. Just make sure that the SATA setting in BIOS is the same as on the old board (IDE or AHCI).
