Motherboard seems to be checking all hard drives before booting to MSI logo. Can I disable this?

Ok so I got a MSI P67A-GD65 and everytime I start up my computer it just get stuck in the screen where it shows the non blinking cursor and on the bottom right, B4 , BIOS version

Get stuck for random amount of time , sometimes even 5 min+

So after I unplug the external hard drives , I found that it boot up quite fast.

Can I disable the function to scan all hard drive thru USB? I dont even know what is it checking for anyway , first priority is already my SSD with the OS in it

You're right, it doesn't. I would however be sure to update my BIOS firmware to the most recent version as it may include better support for USB devices or other hardware that provides better stability and performance, which may include USB devices during the boot process and in windows.

Seems that's a very low end board. I gotta be honest, I've never seen a motherboard BIOS that had games you can play, but no support for basic settings like the boot process and S.M.A.R.T which has been around since the beginning of time it seems.
