Hi All,

I would just like some advice on choosing a suitable matx motherboard to go with an i5 12600 CPU and DDR4 3200 RAM.
I am having trouble determining which chipset would be most suitable. I have no interest in overclocking the CPU or RAM.
However I want to ensure everything can run at its full potential.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Any Z690 is viable for now, or wait till H670, B660, and H610 motherboards arriving this year.

Consider the newly announced Gigabyte B660 motherboards.

There are at least a dozen of them.

All details on Gigabyte website.

Most or all have 2 NVMe ports.

Looks like most models are available in 2 versions: DDR4 and DDR5.

Some have wireless.

Some are micro ATX, which may be all you need.

Some have 2 RAM slots, some 4.

They differ mostly in USB port number and type and in monitor connections.

The Aorus series of micro ATX boards were rated highly for the previous 500 generation. We'll have to wait for reviews to find out if they are still excellent on this new generation.

Prices not known yet.

Ok great, I found the gigabyte B660M Gaming D4 Mobo which will be released soon. Looks like it will do the job and its at a reasonable price too.
