Motherboard System compatibility questions

I am getting a new motherboard, and I am wondering if it would work. I am getting the Asus Gryphon Z87 Motherboard 1150 socket (micro atx) and would this work with an I5 3470. The motherboard i have currently is a GA-B75M-D3H and it is a 1155 socket.
