Motherboard wont stop beeping

Yesterday a 5KG barbell fell into my pc while the case was open. the barbell fell on the ram stick
and from that moment my pc stopped working.

When i turn on the pc, it starts beeping and wont stop for a sec.

which component is damaged?

Depending on the height from which it fell, probably a lot of things. RAM, yes. Mobo, probably broke traces on or near the RAM sockets. Assuming it bounced around a bit before coming to rest, any cards in the buss that it may have fell against, etc. Could have potentially damaged the connectors to the hard drives/ CDROM's and/or their mobo connectors and dislocated the CPU cooling fan/heat sink.

The case and power supply (excluding connectors) are probably OK.

What make and model motherboard do you have? Does the beeps follow a certain pattern?

Have a look at the manual (physical / find it online) to see what the beeps refers to.

It's most likely going to be your RAM Module/s that's damaged, or the RAM connector on the motherboard itself, but a make and model as well as beep pattern would easily help us identify the problem.

It's most likely going to be your RAM Module/s that's damaged, or the RAM connector on the motherboard itself, but a make and model as well as beep pattern would easily help us identify the problem.

The message is telling you there is a power problem or a short, of a component or the motherboard it`s self.

Or one has become loose or not fully seated in its socket.

Any card in a slot that is not flush or fully inserted.

A constant beep relates to a power problem to a component connected into the board via it`s socket or slot. Or a non working device in worst cases.

Check if you have a graphics card in the pci-e slot of the board it is inserted flush and has not lifted on one side, or dropped, it should be level or parallel with the slot.
If not unscrew level it up.

Use the same process for ram sticks in there slot and you will find the problem.
At the very worst the connectors of the board have taken the damage.
Like the Pci-e slot or the memory dimm slots.

In the case of the memory stick, removal of the suspected one hit, may allow the computer to work again. If it does it was the cause.

A new board will be required if the above does not work to fix the problem, I am sorry to say as the damage will be to the actual socket of the board.

What I would recommend is making sure that all your components are properly seated in their sockets as well as all the power connectors.

Best would be to reseat all of the components (RAM, Graphics Card/s, Hard Drives etc) as well as their power connectors by physically unplugging them and putting it back in to their sockets.
