Do I really need an expensive motherboard for my build? If I do I will buy one, but is it necessary? I plan to overclock my FX-6300 a lot and not crossfire.

Here is my projected build :
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 45.0 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler
Memory: GeIL EVO Veloce Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Motherboard: ????
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM 64mb Cache Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card (Windforce, 450w)
Case: Antec VSK-4000 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Rosewill Green 630W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DVD-E818AAT/BLK/B/GEN DVD/CD Drive
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit - OEM (64-bit)

For the Motherboard I was looking at the BIOSTAR TA970 AM3+ AMD 970, would that handle everything smoothly?
Also, any suggestions on other parts of my build to improve it are welcome as long as they do not cost significantly more.
One last thing, would a small capacity ssd be worth it only to load windows 8?
