So I can only find motherboards that support DDR3 Memory, so does that mean that if I get a stick of DDR4 RAM it will kinda go to waste? Also, can someone please suggest the best price vs performance motherboard that has lots of features and supports Intel Socket 1150?

Thanks

Solution
You cannot use DDR4 in a motherboard that is DDR3-compatible. The slots are different (DDR4 won't fit), and even if they weren't they are completely incompatible.
I think DDR4 and the associated components are very much for the enthusiasts market considering how expensive it all is right now...and the DDR4 cards don't fit on Intel's 1150 socket motherboards.

As for your question about a price/performance motherboard, it would probably be better to ask for one most suited to you and what you generally look for in a build; i.e, it's purpose and capabilities...

Nope, it wouldn't work anyway. And besides, DDR4 isn't faster than DDR3 yet. If there was a platform where you could freely choose between DDR4 and DDR3, right now the better choice would be DDR3. Give it another couple of years and DDR4 should become a lot more attractive (lower prices, higher speed). Plus by then we will have new mainstream CPUs and motherboards that support DDR4.
