[SOLVED] Mounting an HDD without a proper mount - Optiplex 780

So as the title says, i have an optiplex 780 which originally came with a 320GB hdd, that being the only component i have not switched out for more modern parts.
So, today i got a 300gb hdd for free off of my friend since he is going to get a new one.
Now here is the thing, my optiplex did not come with an extra hard drive mount, just one.
I have looked all over my local selling websites to see if there were some available for purchase, without luck.
Is it possible for me to leave the hdd on the bottom of the case below my first hdd, maybe on a piece of styrofoam or something? Would it damage the hard drive?

Which form factor OptiPlex do you own? You can see that there are 4. If you have the one with the slim loading optical drive, you can buy a secondary drive caddy meant for a laptop and use it on your platform but you will need to know the thickness of the optical drive in your SFF OptiPlex, assuming you have an SFF unit.

Quick update:
My older brother came up with the idea of mounting the hard drives inside the empty optical drive bay, and it fit perfectly with mounts from his case (they didnt work on my normal hdd mounts) and the hdd works so far

I suggest you simply replace your HDD with a ssd.
Your performance will benefit immensely.

Definitely going for ssd only storage for my new pc build soon, but i don' think i will spend money on an SSD for my GT 1030 optiplex system
