Mounting Motherboard to case but trying to use spacer help?

Hi guys, I have a Gigabyte GA-H170 -D3HP ATX LGA115 motherboard and apparently something odd happened where it wasn't functioning properly. Some members told me to get a spacer so the metal from my case wouldn't interfere and cause a short circuit with the motherboard. So.. I bought these spacers thinking theyd be universal, but I have no idea how to use them.

I feel a bit ashamed of not noticing I had a few standoffs in the case's extra screws. Sorry for wasting your time, can you delete this thread?
