Installed AsRock FM2+ A88X Extreme6+ motherboard in my NZXT System 210 Case, there are 2 screw holes in the board that don't seat with the mounting pad and the board would have to bend for the screws to tighten, 1 of the holes is in the bottom left corner, the other hole in question is 6" to the right, 8 of the 10 screws fit nicely and hold the board securely but 2 of them i won't be able to fill without shimming the area behind the board for support. The question: Is it (electrically) required to have all the screws installed in the motherboard ?
My initial response would be NO because there are systems built in fish tanks containing mineral oil and the motherboard is not grounded to anything, both the negative and positive voltages are supplied by the PSU so maybe the screws are just there to hold the board in place..

Solution
Your assessment is correct. The screws are not necessary at all, but unless you're going to lay the computer case on its side so that the motherboard doesn't move around, you'll find that fastening the motherboard to the case is a viable practice.
