Okay got another problem 🙁, turned my computer on yesterday and it loaded up fine, apart from there was no cursor and my keyboard wouldn't work. I have a R.A.T. 5 mouse and a Coolermaster QuickFire keyboard. I know that they're on and working because their LED's are on. I decided to plug in my old ps2 keyboard and restart my PC to enter BIOS. I checked and it recognises that the keyboard and the mouse are connected into the USB hub and says they're working. Another thing, even my ps2 keyboard doesn't work when my computer gets past the start screen! Any help would be appreciated :).

Solution
It's probably a motherboard issue with its USB ports. Sometimes it doesn't get enough power and disables them.. Try using different USB ports!

Hey, thanks for the reply. I've already tried every single USB port and none of them work. The thing that confuses me the most is why the ps2 doesn't work once it starts up when it does in BIOS.

Can you give me a quick explanation of ps2 acronym so that i can understand what it actually is and help you out? :)

Oh haha sorry, they're the old keyboards that don't use USB.

Ah, ok I got! I still would believe it's a motherboard issue! It may show in the BIOS that it is there, however once booted into windows it looses its power! That's why the message usb stopped working is commonly displayed once it boots into windows! What is your motherboard model?

I'm not too sure as I've lost the manual, all I know is that it is made by Foxconn

You can download OpenHardwareMonitor it will list everything on your computer!
Check my screenshot below as how it should look like:

If it's also an old motherboard it may start running into issues!

Yea most probably! But do find your motherboard model, it will help you greatly! :)

I will once I get home, I'm at college haha.
sorry for being inactive, I've had no internet and had to pay the bill, I solved the problem. I was in my BIOS when I thought maybe deactivating the USB ports and then reactivating them would help... apparently just deactivating them worked. My computer confuses me haha.
