Question Mouse and Keyboard not working after putting in an HDD with Win7 installed ?

Hello there,
I need to access my older system directly but PC from which it come is dead. So i took that SSD and put it in newer AM4 machine with Asus B550plus, the SSD is Kingston A400 with Win7 installed. The thing is mouse and keyboard works OK in Bios but when windows starts they stop working. There are no usb 2.0 ports on the mobo. Is there any way to start it up???

Not without usb3 drivers installed. Just install Win10 on another hdd and access ssd that way, it's the only way.

If remote desktop is enabled, you could connect to the pc from a different computer and install USB drivers.
BTW - Windows 7 Home - doesn't have remote desktop. Only Pro/Ultimate/Enterprise has it.

i have a Pro version on there but for remote desktop i need to run that Win7 machine first and i cant as it is dead, that is the reason im trying to run it on my new rig. There is Win10 instaled but to recover what i need, i need to access that Win7 system and as keyboard not work i cant sing in, i cant write password.

Can't run that win7 install without usb3 drivers. If you can't access it under win10 environment then it's no good.

If your motherboard had PS/2 ports, you could try using PS/2 keyboard and mouse.

i cant as i need to access encripted data and you cant do it by simply pluging in harddrive and starting another OS

nope Asus B550 plus didnt have ps/2 or rear facing usb 2.0

Well, that is a typical outcome.

As far as the encrypted data goes...this is specifically what backups are for.

where did you find that as even the site you are referencing didnt say that??? there are front headers only and currently i dont have anythink i can plug into them...
