Question Mouse cursor goes crazy

My Toshiba Satellite has developed a problem where the mouse cursor suddenly jumps to the top left corner of my screen and starts clicking on whatever is there. I can't control it no matter what I do. This happens whether I'm using the internal touchpad or a wireless mouse and keyboard. I've run diagnostics, checked for updates, run virus scans, and downloaded updated drivers. Nothing works. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

downloaded updated drivers
Where did you source the drivers for your trackpad?

Can you please pass on the model to your Toshiba Satellite laptop? What OS are you working with? If you're on Windows 10, perhaps try and uninstall your trackpad from Device Manager, then manually reinstall your trackpad's driver in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Does your laptop have any BIOS updates pending?
