Mouse doesn't unclick?

Ok so, if i do anything which involves holding the mouse down for a few seconds like dragging a window, or highlighting some text, the mouse will not un-click and will continue to drag the window or whatever im doing, this is especially annoying when playing games..

However I know that this is not the mouse as I have just brought a new one as my old mouse was slowly dying, it also had this problem.

I can only assume that it could be a setting somewhere but it may not be, would just like to see if anyone knows why this is?

I had the same problem, but I fixed it by changing the properties of my synaptics program. On the properties, you turn off the clickLock function and then it was fixed.
