I plug my wireless Logitech g700s mouse receiver into a USB port, and it works fine for a day or two. Then it starts lagging. The latency is bad enough so it requires extra effort to click a new song in Foobar2000, or select a taskbar icon. It makes playing first person shooters (CS:GO) really horrible.
The only way I've found to fix the problem is to move the receiver to a different USB port, but that only works for a couple days. After a couple weeks, I run out of USB ports and have to do an operating system reset. Then I have another 2 weeks to rotate USB ports.
What could be causing this problem, and how can I fix it?
edit- Switching USB ports isn't working right now. The last switch worked for only 2 hours, which was 2 and a half CS:GO matches. Then the lag kicked in hard and I got wrecked. The boost is kind of inconsistent; maybe the laptop uses hubs for multiple ports, each controlled by a separate driver or something. At least I can rule out display issues, but it's still a weird problem.
