Hello, i recently removed a gpu from my pc and installed the internal hd 4000 graphics driver. The problem is that after 20 minutes or so my mouse starts lagging and any game i'm playing also starts to lag. It also lags even if im not in a game. Mouse lags the most on vlc videos and when i try to switch tabs, it lags. I have an i7 3770k. Games run great the first 20 minutes. Please advise. Is it a driver issue or something?

intel graphics driver and chipset driver is upto date and i dont think i need a bios update cuz it ran my hd 7950 fine.

motherboard running at 35 degrees, processor at 40 :/

Darn. How does it perform if the intel HD driver is uninstalled? I'm going through related topics for some kind of fluke quirk of the chip. Everything comes back driver or bios related.

I've definitely seen lag on tab/video switching when I've used the HD 4000 graphics on my own 3770k, can't comment on any game performance, but it also had many hiccups/stutters while using 3D modeling programs.

i'll check that, be back in a while.

uninstalled the intel hd driver, no lag between tabs and in videos now but the games are even worse without the driver lol

Haha that makes sense...or not. How about trying the intel HD driver from the motherboard manufacturer support site? Maybe check the performance settings in the Intel HD control panel too, maybe it is on some quality over performance mode or something?

i've tried the driver from the manufacturer's site and also the one from intel's site, same problem on both and if it were performance mode why not lag from the start :/

the driver on the manufacturers site is a little older while the one on intel's is newer

I've managed to fix it by installing the manufacturer driver by updating driver using device manager but now it shows up as two different control centers, anyway, its been working fine for a while now, will let you know if it starts lagging again.

It's back again after a restart. Something is conflicting with the drivers upon restart. That's why it always happened after directly installing the driver(not from device manager) because it required a restart, while installing from the device manger doesn't require a restart. It works fine when i use the device manger but a restart ruins it.

hmm, this might be a longshot but what about trying to switch the bios setting for 'plug and play os'? That affects how the driver handoff/detection occurs. Is there a way you can check if there are bios revisions available? Usually the revisions come with update notes for the intended fixes.
