Mouse Not Scrolling

So my mouse itself is working fine. I was just scrolling then suddenly the scroll wheel wasn't clicking when i moved it. I can still press down and have it move the page, but when i scroll the wheel it is just smooth.
It's a Corsair Harpoon by the way.

I would imagine it's broken. If it's new then send it back.

On many mouses/mice, there is a little button right below/near the scroll wheel. Not sure what it's called, but it changes the scrolling action from "clicky" to "smooth".

After some fiddling I figured that the wheel's axel snapped so it was smooth but wouldn't lock into the hole. So I was going to send it back but i just put hot glue onto the tip and shoved it into the hole. It works fine now, in the future i will probably have to buy a new one though

On the Harpoon that button is the DPI switch.

Ah, that surprises me, almost every mouse I've ever used has had that "clicky/smooth" button.

Yeah, most are. It's a strange place to put a DPI button.
