Mouse Not Working After Win 10 Update

Hi,

I recently updated Windows 10 and after the update my mouse (Logitech G500) no longer worked. The lights on it wouldn't turn on and it wasn't listed under Mice on device manager. I did however notice it is under Universal Serial Bus devices on the device manager, but if I try and do anything to it device manager just crashes.

I have tried everything to get this fixed. I've tried different USB ports, tried the mouse on a different PC (works), bought a new mouse (Logitech G502, same problem), tried safe mode, have reinstalled windows 3 times (same problem each install), fiddled round in BIOS, tried installing logitechs software, tried googling everything under the sun. Nothing seems to work, the mice stay under USB devices on device manager and still crash it if you try and do anything to them.

I've been trying to fix this for 5 hours now and am getting bored of having to use the keyboard to do everything.

Anyone have any clue of what is going on and how to fix it?

Here's a pic of my device manager if it helps:

Oh and I forgot to say the HID compliant mouse lets you do stuff to it without device manager crashing, when you go into its properties it says Logitech Virtual Mouse if that is relevant.

Looks like Windows is identifying it as a generic mouse. Did you install Logitech's LGS (Gaming Software) for Win10?

It's available for 32 & 64 bit. http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/gaming-mouse-g500/downloads#

In fact Logitech specifies that this mouse needs "LGS 8.70.315 and later" for it to work under Windows 10. http://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/32425
That's pretty specific and worth trying.
