Just of today my mouse suddenly started to freeze for a few seconds and the sound you get when you connect a device/unit via USB-port and then disconnecting an device. It's as if my mouse would get manually plugged in/out a few times each minute.

This only happens to the mice and not my other connected USB-devices such as my keyboard. Which makes me so confused since I first thought It might be usb port issues. Doesn't matter where I plug in my mice, the outcome is the same.

When I then tried to plug in my alternative mouse it had the same exact problem, therefore I can come to an conclusion that the problem doesnt lay in the mouse but rather in my computers software. I've tried to check my components, scan my computer, changing USB-ports. But without any success.

I have now formatted my harddrive, installed new drivers and still my mouse 'hangs'/'freezes' and it seems like it's happening more now than before formatting.

Can we now come to an conclusion that it is my harddrive having issues?

I tried changing my graphics card but that did not help. But I could assume it has something to do with my USB-ports? but what I dont understand is that other devices work and only mice are having issues.

Anyone here with an possible solution? that'd be much appreciated!

This happened to my Cyborg RAT 7 mouse, and after a few weeks the mouse died. It is most likely your mouse dieing. I submitted an RMA and they sent me a brand new one, so check your warrenty!

Cant help you there:ouch:. Although I really doubt it would be a hard drive issue.
