So my previous mice all died (3x logitech MX510) so I'm stuck replacing them, well one for now. I got a G502 proteus. Nice mouse, The sensitivity is on crack though. No matter what I do my cross hair either jumps across the screen or I cant turn around fast enough, no happy medium. But my real complaint is the damned scroll wheel. Its a continuous turn. It'll rotate for about 30 seconds before it stops because there is no indetations on it. So I next looked online and found the G602 wireless. But from what I can tell its an infinite scroll too. Does anyone know of a modern mouse made t hat you have small clicks in the scroll wheel so you dont spin your screen to infinity?

Solution
On the G502 Proteus, there is a button just below the scroll wheel that lets it have either free wheel or indented wheeling.....just click that...

Your mouse wheel will continue to roll continuously in any newer mouse.

As far as the mouse jumping, you need to ensure that you have a clean mouse surface, the laser is clear, as well as check your reporting rate. Your reporting rate could be too fast for your computer. Also check to see you have the latest firmware and drivers for your mouse.
