Mouse Smoothing / Acceleration

Hi guys,

So on my PC I have had a long running issue with my mice, every mouse that I use with my computer feels to have either mouse acceleration or smoothing; the weird thing is I have turned off smoothing and acceleration off in every game and control settings.
It doesn't feel 100% right even in the desktop the same sort of smoothed feel.

In games no matter what sensitivity is chosen I don't have the 100% feel like I should, I have changed out every component except for my HDD; I have just ordered a new one for more space. But I was thinking is it a virus that is embedded onto it as even when I have reinstalled Windows it has the same problem.

The mouse behaves better in safe mode, but as I can't test any games I couldn't say for sure.

Does anyone have any idea what the cause may be?

Thanks,

Luke

If you have a dpi (dots per inch) setting for your mouse try adjusting that. Also, the amount your hand moves should match the amount the cursor moves on the screen. If you move your hand an inch the cursor should move an inch. For gaming this is critical. Adjust the speed setting to get this right.

I have a MadCatz Rat 3, now using a Gigabyte mouse same issue
