As far as I understood it, the mouse is plug and play? So no need for drivers. You could try to update (or install) new drivers for the mouse. If this cannot be done, or if it still does not work properly, I'd advise you to get a refund and get another mouse.
Hello BusterWD,

Eventhough your mouse is brand new, have you checked the optical sensor for dust, hair etc? Have you tried using the mouse on other surfaces? Finally, you could try tweaking the sensitivity of the mouse.

Should these afore-mentioned methods be of no use, I suggest you ask if the person who gave the mouse to you as a present still has the receipt. You could change it for another one.

Best,

Hi, I've tried checking for all sorts of hair and fibre, I even got a new mouse pad with a finer grain on the pad thinking it might be picking up my quite thick old mouse pad more than my old mouse used to. It comes with 3 sensitivity settings, the first is too slow but doesn't twitch as much, the other two are what I would expect of a gaming mouse but as soon as you lift the mouse up apart from if its a long way up, it twitches uncontrollably still. You think I should just get a refund and a different mouse then?
Thanks
