So, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320, and when I'm playing a game and I want to move the mouse while typing it won't let me. I'm using a ELAN track pad built into the computer.

What I tried:
Edited
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Elantech\SmartPad
and set DisableWhenType_Enabled to 0 which didn't work since it just resets to 1 everytime I restart the laptop.

I also tried going to the Windows 10 Settings and changing the touchpad sensitivity from low to high it works when i hold down keys and move the mouse around, but when I click off the window the effect doesn't work.

Solution
Adjust the PalmTracking option under Additional Tab on the ELAN Smart Pad settings to minimum.
If that does not do the trick then uninstall the Touchpad driver under Control Panel and reboot.
Windows will now use the generic Touchpad driver.
