Movie files too large for burning

I tried burning a 11minute and a 23 minute long movie in windows 7 media player but I get a message indicating that the files are too large to be burnt. I have previously burnt to disc a lot longer movies

Length of movies does not matter, format does. How big are the files? Are you using a DVD or a CD for the files? Have you checked the MS support site for the error you are getting?
