Moving files to another computer

I recently just put a new computer for the first time. I bought a new hard drive in replacement for my old one with windows 7 on it. My question is: Is it possible that I can move and keep my files from my old hard drive to my new computer?

yes.. you can move files..
So you can (for example) copy them from your old hard drive to a USB stick - and then copy them from the USB stick to your new hard drive..
you have not given us much info... files can be moved.. but it can be a bit more tricky for some files...
but in general.. yes.. you can move your files

I just wanted some music files and some old family photos. Not applications that can easily be downloaded.
