Moving my wired-internet

Hello i am a 13 year old boy who wants to have wired internet in my room but the router is plugged into the wall with a internet jack and i do not have one in my room, i have charter internet and i have a telephone line across the hall from me but when i asked my dad about it he said that it doesnt have internet running to it.

A) remove router from the wall and get a longer line cable
or
B) get a long ethernet cable to connect your computer to the router

Elysian890 i cant do that because i am at the very top floor and the router is on the 1st floor

Powerline adapter can simulate wired internet and you can plug it anywhere you want

Charter is hooked up through coax cable. Do you have a cable outlet in your room?

Is you Dad OK with this? If you managed to move the box to your room, the rest of the family can't have wired Internet, is that acceptable? this will also affect their WIFI reception. Have you thought about all the repercussions to the rest of the family and discuss this with your Dad?
