I bought a new HDD and SSD - I'm going to do a clean install of Windows + Office on the SSD and add install programs on it.
How do I move only the files and documents on my current HDD to the new one?
Current OS is windows 7

Solution
Get the new one all set up with Windows and Office. Do this with the HDD disconnected. Set your BIOS to boot from the SSD.

Then power down and connect the HDD to an available SATA port and connect the power cable. When you reboot, you should see the HDD in Windows.

Now you can move over whatever you want.

Well....there's not really any automatic way to move your particular data files.

Usually what I do is keep all my data files in one directory and I name it with my initials. Then I make a subdirectory for MSWord files....and another one for Excel files ...another one for photos etc....

So if I wanted to move everything....it would be one move....one directory.

Another thing you could do is just leave the files where they are at.
