Hello, i just got a new ssd for my desktop and i want to transfer win 10 to it and throw away my old hdd which is really slow. It takes ten minutes to boot up! I tried easeus to do it but it wont work. I was told that it wont work because i upgraded from win 7 for free just the other day and didnt get a new product key. So all i have is the win 7 product key. And my system wont let me make the ssd my main drive either. Help!

1. What size is the new SSD?
2. How much consumed space is on the current HDD?
3. Does the current system actually work well?
4. What specific error did EaseUS give you?

Your Win 7 upgraded to Win 10 is of no consequence. Given proper sizes, it will work.

1. You really shouldn't have bought a 60GB SSD. That is TOO SMALL.
2. Consumed space on the current drive? It needs to be below 40GB for this to possibly work.

OK then....
Specific steps for a successful clone operation:
-----------------------------
Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD
This is to allow the system to try to boot from ONLY the SSD
Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe as necessary.
Delete the original boot partitions, here:

-----------------------------

However..if there is ONLY the OS on this drive, I'd just do a clean install.
But try the clone thing.

It keeps saying.( the target disc has an incompatible sector Size for this operation. Please choose a different disc.) when i try to clone drive C to drive E. And drive E is my ssd which has 54gb of free space and the C drive only has 31gb of space being used? So i dont get it. Lol
