After going to sleep or being put to sleep my HP p7-1436 will not boot; no beeps, no screen activity, no POST, no nuttin'. Nor with it allow an F12 interrupt to update the bios. My only remedy so far is to reset the bios via the jumper, which allows a successful boot to Windows 10 each time. Everything is fine until sleep, then it is a brick. I love the box as it has been reliable till this month, running at 3.6GH. A bios flash is a possibility but is it a cure?
If the M/B is toast, please let me know. My next step is to clean and re-paste the CPU with thermal paste though it is only being used for office and home purposes so heat has not been an issue.
The box itself is very clean, with no blockages or problems with ventilation.
At a loss here, so any advice is gratefully welcomed. Oh! And yes, the jumper is carefully reset to pins one and two each time.
