SSDs are not DDR3/4 etc - they'll have a DRAM cache (well, most quality SSDs do) - but that's totally different.

Just making sure you do have an mSATA drive - and not an M.2 form factor drive that uses the SATA protocol?
Which SSD do you have?

If it's mSATA - your motherboard would need an mSATA slot (it doesn't), OR an adapter.
For adapters, you can either adapt to 2.5" and connect via SATA data/power cables OR you can get mSATA to M.2 adapter - in which can, either M.2 slot on your motherboard will accept a SATA-based drive (note, you may disable certain SATA ports - for HDDs etc) using a SATA-based drive in the M.2 slot.
