Yes, PS3 controllers are great but I was really p*st when I paid $60 for a new controller and they didn't even include a cable. Thanks Sony!! cheap bas**rds.

[citation][nom]False_Dmitry_II[/nom]Yeah, but that's saying it can send the game data over the wire while plugged in.[/citation]Exactly. Although Microsoft's wireless protocol is excellent, there are a *few* games I might want wired communication for (instead of the current system of charging off USB, but still transmitting wirelessly). Mainly Marvel vs Capcom 3 and other fighting games.

Plus, you can plug the wired USB 360 controllers into a PC, without any extra hardware, and it just works (you can tell it to automagically nab the drivers off the net in seconds, if your Windows doesn't have them already). So if this controller can do that too, it's the best of the wired and wireless models.

The XBOX 360 Charge and play cable already converts a wireless controller into wired. Amd chanring the cable in mid game has no interuptions on the game.

Funny as I have an xbox 360 and the charging cable for it.

-When battery is low i attach the charging cable and plug it in to the 360's usb port and voila! I now have a wired controller and it is charging while I play.

-When battery is charged the light turns green and there's also an on-screen battery indicator too. I then disconnect the charging cable and voila! I'm back to a wireless controller! O-M-F-G!!

Oh and the 360 and controller will still recognize which controller port it is assigned to due to controller-to-console synching(similar to bluetooth pairing)

Seriously so what is Microsoft trying to patent here?

Maybe this patent document is old. Look at the diagram. It resembles the xbox orignal and not the 360.

[citation][nom]Jazza2400[/nom]Was the first TV remote control ever patented? Or having to stop changing channels to pull the back off use a corner of the plastic back bit to wedge between the batteries and throw in a new set only to find out it uses AAA and in your third draw down you only have AA so you find another remote in the house that uses AAA and use the batteries out of that hoping no one notices.[/citation]

wow are you high? that was the most random nonsensical paragraph I have seen in several days
