hi
i have msi 2060 6gb 2fan and i guess it has a rgb but i dont know how to turn it on. i see a wire goes to msi brand logo ... how can i do that?

also this gpu runs at 80°C + 93°C gpu hotspot .... basically it shows two temperature ...
is this OK or should i go gir thermalpaste change?

now it runs at:
gpuZ 2nd tab
GPU clock 1920MHz (spike ) but then its around 1430
memory clock 1750
(I'm not sure if its OC or Downclock)

GpuZ first tab:
Gpu clock 1365
memory 1750
boost 1710

something strange happend.... msi afterburner no longer limit CoreV , BUT, last night i noticed GpU power draw is dropped from 150W to 85 W..... NO problem on FPS even its increased somehow in Furmark it still reach 130fps... also tempo droped to 68ish on Battlefield V ultra setting RTX on limit 60fps and utilization 100% .... even fan is 60-70% .....
core V is shown 718 and 1410 mhz which is swhat i limited it on before this strange thing.

p.s , maby i dont recognize it but i see NO difference at all on cyberpunk Or BF.V rtx ON or OFF...

What do you mean, Afterburner no longer limits core voltage? You would've had to change something in settings, like, 'unlock voltage control'.

Did you enable the option to apply custom settings upon Windows startup? Disable that.

oh , then yes , i did enable that setting for windows startup. so thats the problem, i will change it to see if it work or not .......
by the way, today i played Overwatch 2 for 2 hour or so... max setting on 1080P + unlock FPS ( it was around 100-130 ) then for another test i changed render scale from 100 to 200 but this setting made it really bad because it was around 38-45 fps on different maps.
both of these setting pushed the GpU to 100% , i think, and the temperature was around 69 all the time.
also Ultra setting+100%scale+1080 and Vsync On (60hz) was 58....

Well, that's good thermals.

unfortunately disabling that didn't help it.
start up is disabled and yet the gpu core V cant be set on curve.... no matter if i lower it or even go higher...
also i did reinstall the app. upgrade to latest version of Nvidia, and also i saw an article about editing a file with notepad in plugin (or profile) not sure.... i did that as well but it didn't help ....

Now you got me scratching my head...

What's Gpu-Z(sensors) showing you during gameplay? Does it look ok?
gpu voltage?

by the way, i have seen this card on YouTube running constant 1920 but mein is 1440. dropng down from 1590. basically i'v never seen it run more than that
any idea why? maby this card have dual bios?

Please post a screenshot of Gpu-Z's general and sensors tabs. You may have to vertically stretch the window to show all the sensors tab parameters at once.

That's not how dual bios operates though.
The built in Gpu Boost algorithm has free reign to overclock/downclock the core clock and adjust voltage based on the gpu's condition.
Gpu Boost is responsible for boosting/overclocking your gpu way past its advertised 1710mhz boost. 1900-ish mhz is possible because the user provides favorable conditions.

1365mhz should be the base clock, not 1440mhz. Did you run OC Scanner previously and forget to click the revert button?
As for why it's not boosting, a frame rate cap will do that. If it's not affecting performance in game, it's nothing to worry about.

never done that (oc scanner)
ok , i will upload a photo as soon as i get back home..

i had a rx 580 XFX , with a tiny switch on it that i could switch btw two bios.... one made it run at 1150mhz another was 1366 mhz. thats why i thought maby this one have such a setting or switch. though i haven't seen one on it.

Hmm... all the 2060s listed below have base clocks of 1365mhz.

That 1440mhz you mentioned sounded like a custom overclock.
i just wanted to let you know since you helped me on this topic...
i changed that MSI ventus 2060 with another same model but i guess this one is None XS and around 1 cm bigger.
this one running 70 °C with constant 1890MHZ and 52% RPM.

other card was running 73 ish on 100%. not sure if that XS matter that much .... anyway...

Board Power draw is 153-155 W.
GPU chip P.D is 109W

and perf cap reason is VRel .....
this one , i dont know why? does that mean my PSU is not good enough?

also this card offers 8-10 more FPS on furmark. and there is that as well.

p.s: by lowering Core V from 1050 ish to 985, temperature droped to constant 60-62.

also i tried OC to 2050 and memory to 7150mhz and Core V 985 it was 63ish.... since I didn't need extra performance, i revert it back to 1900mhz + 985mv... it may go lower but i didnt try that.

the only thing other card better at was idle temperature which was around 30 and this card is 37 and kinda strange. but i Don't think thats matter at all
