MSI 980 TI Gaming Idle uses 46% power & temp reaches 60+ (Fans don't spin

My graphics card is using a lot of power for when it's not doing anything, nearly 50%

The fans don't spin via MSI Afterburner, this is set by auto.

My temperature is currently sitting at 60+ celcious.

I have an 1 exhaust fan and one intake fan. The room isn't that hot meaning warm air isn't really getting sucked in.

My case is a Corsair SPEC 03, mid tower case.

I feel like the temperature is just awfully high for it to be doing nothing, i'm also confused for why my GPU is using 46 of power. The most "intensive" programme that is open is google chrome...

Have you gone on to the Nvidia Control Panel and changed the preferred power to adaptive? Instead of maximum.
