MSI 980Ti Golden Edition vs Zotac 980Ti AMP extreme

I am buying a new card in a couple of days and can't decide between the MSI and Zotac. I was going for the MSI golden edition until I realised the Zotac was on sale for only £5 more. Not sure if i should still buy the MSI or go with the Zotac now. Any advice would be great.

Zotac is a great brand, and the triple fan system on the card is great. Also, it has a higher clockspeed.

Ok thanks. I did notice that the clockspeed is higher on the Zotac. I don't think it would be very noticeable but I might be wrong. How important is the speed when you buy it? For example if I was to overclock the MSI could I get it to about the same as the Zotac when overclocked or does the fact it starts faster mean it is likely to overclock more too.

Unlike CPUs, GPU clock speed is pretty important in gaming. And yes, the Zotac will overclock better than the MSI, also because of the three fans.

well, fans has nothing to do with the speed of the card, they only cool it, but 3 fans are good though makes it more cooler, also the zotac had higher Memory speed.

Both will be fine, and having 3 fans doesnt mean it will overclock better..

I know and for anyone interested I have had no problems getting a good overclock with my 980ti golden edition.
