MSI Afterburner help

Hi, I have recently bought an MSI GTX 970 Gaming and I'm using Afterburner to monitor the temperature and to adjust the fan speed of the GPU. But I'm noticing that my clock speed is 1304 Mhz. I haven´t applied any overclock, I didn't touch any sliders, just the fan control. Is not this clock speed a bit high?

The clock speeds listed on the MSI website are:

1279 MHz / 1140 MHz (OC Mode)
1253 MHz / 1114 MHz (Gaming Mode)
1253 MHz / 1051 MHz (Silent Mode)

It's Nvidia GPU Boost. It's designed to boost the core clock based on the cards temp and power.

I've got the same card and it was running at 1346MHz out of the box. I've heard many similar stories. I'm also running mine at 1575MHz right now with Afterburner and it doesn't even break a sweat.
