Nice enough looking board. Not sure I would buy something calling itself Godlike - a little presumptuous. OK with the pointless RGB lighting, always liked blinking lights that serve little to no purpose. Think MSI should have used a more neutral than red secondary color to make the RGB more effective. No matter what color the LEDs it will be red.

Two n00b questions: Does this LED-lit trend add significantly to heat issues? What is better: One 16 GB memory module, or 8 x 2 GB memory modules (any speed or heat difference)? Thanks.

Make this motherboard black otherwise it doesnt work well in most builds and I would just get a Rampage VII Extreme and some LED's

White would make more sense with 200 different LED color options.

I owned the Rampage II and III .... but the Rampage IV Extreme garnered a whopping 28% negative (1 egg) reviews on newegg and the V followed with 23% 1 eggers and 15% 2 eggers.

On top of that, Rampage held the title of "most failed Motherboard" returned under warranty for 2 consecutive reporting periods.

9.65% - http://www.hardware.fr/articles/920-2/cartes-meres.html
8.80 % - http://www.hardware.fr/articles/927-2/cartes-meres.html

Unfortunately, not too much happiness w./ X99

As fort his model..... availability of alternate colored armor or how easy / difficult it would be to remove and paint is something I'd like to read about.

For X99 (quad channel) MoBos, it's a choice between 4 and 8. On Z97 (dual channel) , 1 stick is not recommended

LEDs are exteremely power efficient lighting devices and don't really add any substantial thermal load to your pc or components.

using 2 memory modules will give you a significant boost in memory speed over using 1.
