My upHere RGB fans recently started having issues.

I am wanting to put some aRGB fans in my PC. However, my MB only has 2 x 4-pin RGB headers (labeled as JRGB).

I know I need a controller or converter to make this work. I was looking at a deep cool converter on Amazon. For some reason, I can’t find any videos on how it actually works.

if someone, could please help, I would greatly appreciate it! I need 4-6 fans and a way to change the color of them without breaking the bank!

Any product suggestions? What do I need to make this work? What fans should I get on a budget? What controller or converter do I need?

Those JRGB headers on your mobo are for the PLAIN RGB system (4 pin connector, 12 VDC power line). You can NOT use them for any lights of the newer Addressable RGB (ADDR RGB, or ARGB) system that has a connector with THREE pins and uses a 5 VDC power line.

So, make sure you get fans that have plain RGB lights in them.

Watch for this point of confusion. Modern lighted fans really are TWO devices in one unit - a fan MOTOR, and LIGHTS in the frame. They are completely separate and have two different cables that plug into different mobo headers. The possible confusion is in using the number of pins as a name!

Older MOTORS use a 3-wire system with a female connector on the end with THREE holes. The newer PWM fans use a system with FOUR holes in the fan motor connector. So we refer to these as 3-pin fans and 4-pin fans.

The more complex ARGB LIGHTING system uses a connector with THREE holes, whereas the simpler plain RGB system uses a FOUR-hole connector. So we label them a 3-pin lights and 4-pin lights. See where this gets us?

There is NO relationship between the motor type and the light type. Most fan MOTORS today are 4-pin PWM type, but lots of 3-pin ones exist and are slightly cheaper. Irrespective of that, EITHER fan type may come with 3-pin or 4-pin LIGHTS in the frame. For use with your mobop's JRGB headers you must have LIGHTS of the 4-pin type, no matter which motor style you get.
