[SOLVED] MSI B450 Tomahawk Vs B450M Mortar

Solution

Between these two...

The Mortar is mATX form factor, the Tomahawk an ATX form factor which won't fit an mATX case. Conversely, the Mortar won't fill up an ATX case.

The Tomahawk has heatsinking on the VSOC VRM FET's...but that won't be a problem with the Mortar since you aren't using a Ryzen APU.

The Mortar has two M.2 ports to fit two NVME's. The Tomahawk has only one M.2 port.

I think the Tomahawk has a slightly better audio codec chip.

Otherwise they are very similar and either would do great with a 2600.
