[SOLVED] MSI B75MA-P45 HDD Limitations

I have an older machine that I just want to do minimal upgrades to. Just a basic station to house movies, music, family stuff and archived freelance work. It will be accessed by other devices, but at a low volume. Also, this computer will get backed up off-site using Crashplan.

One of the features of this board on the MSI website is "3TB+ Infinity" technology. https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/B75MAP45.html

I'm looking to eliminate 2 2TB external drives (on a macbook) and consolidate to 1 drive and continue to grow. 6TB Western Digital Blue.

Does this mean that the board can only handle 3TB internal drives or smaller?

As long as you will format your HDD to the GTP format for the data, you are fine to use any over 3TB HDD.
