Hi, there I have an MSI B85m-p33 v2 motherboard an Intel i5-4170 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 740 graphics card and 256 GB of SSD memory the problem is when i started updating the BIOS, I have downloaded the latest C6 2015 update because i had a 2013 update on my motherboard i entered the BIOS clicked on M-flash and choosed the update file E7846IMS.C60 it started updating and everything completed with 100% success my computer has restarted and then nothing happens no display, even the front panel is not glowing, just spinning fans, I unplugged all disks and cd drives, connected my display to the motherboard and nothing occurs, removed my graphics card and again tried to connect to the motherboard also no result, tried to recover bios using this thread:https://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/techfaqdetail.aspx?formid=3046 still no result i really have no options im sitting with this for hours, plz healp me out.

During your BIOS Recovery attempts, did you:

  1. Format the USB Drive using FAT32?
  2. Extract the BIOS file to the root of the USB Drive?
  3. Use BIOS version C4? If no, which version did you use?
  4. Use a rear motherboard USB 2.0 port?

If you can answer YES to each of these questions, then I would try it once more to see if it takes, otherwise, it's likely to be a bricked motherboard and it's time for an RMA (or see if you can replace the BIOS chip yourself).

If not, then you should try the recovery again, making sure to follow the instructions to the letter.

If you are able to get it recovered, please remember that just because it's outdated doesn't mean it NEEDS to be updated.
