MSI DS501 Microphone not wokring

So, i got this headset a few months ago, never really tested the microphone since i had my old microphone which is now sadly broken. I tried using the headset microphone today and it wouldnt work, i tried plugging it in the back and the front it just doesnt work nor detect it, The headset works just fine in both jacks, Any help would be appreciated

Looks like that headset has separate mic and headphone jacks, did you make sure it's plugged in all the way? There is also a switch on the cable, is that on?
