Question MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING X TRIO 8GB OC GPU

Hello,

I was so shocked to find an MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING X TRIO in stock in the UK I kind of impulse bought it. More than I really wanted to pay for a card but so fed up with gaming on my 1050 ti.
Anyway just wondering if anyone has had problems with this card? I got caught out with the last card I bought I had no clue it had some problem with the thermal pads and it died fairly quickly.

Look up all the 30x complaint threads. Cards are underperforming currently, on par with 10x cards and 20x cards are surpassing them.

Hopefully, the issues will be sorted out with a new driver. It better be faster than my 1050 ti lol

Indeed, I dropped almost £2k on updating the gaming PC
Old rig which is now the streaming PC , is almost on par with the new gaming PC (ingame)

Imagine spending £2k and only getting around 20-30 fps more...

Your 3070 is not performing as it should? I did want a 6800 but of course, they are all out of stock, only this overpriced 3070 was available to buy.

Well it seems to work ok, just a bit noisy some coil whine and the fans are loud as f**k which is weird considering it has a giant ruddy great heatsink that requires a metal bar for support.

No problems at all. No coil whine. Fans are not loud, never even go past 42%. 63C max.

My Gainward Phantom 3070 is performing as expected, I love it. The triple fan setup was way too loud under full load though, so I replaced them with 2 x Noctua NF-P14's.

I sorted out the fan noise, it was a problem with Afterburner.
